When Joyce was born, could her Mom Ora have known she was giving her the perfect name?Joyce embodies a joyful spirit- and its infectious when you're around her! She loves hard and imagines big, and Shenar is her soulmate. She truly adores him, as he does her. Sadly when Joyce contacted me to do her wedding in 2013, we were already booked, but that short conversation sparked a friendship, and now I'm honored to capture the milestones of their marriage. Read below in Joyce's own words how she and Shenar celebrate their anniversary… and be prepared for a little tear to well up. :)

On our wedding day, March 9, 2013, we took hundreds of pictures to remember the special occasion. I informed my husband after the wedding that I would love to take pictures to capture every anniversary and he agreed. I was shocked because I know that he doesn’t like taking pictures. I shared my vision with him and explained that every year we would have a different theme and location. Our stunning portraits are lasting memoires of the love we shared on the day in which we became one. Yet, if you’re like many couples, having professional pictures taken of you and your spouse is something you haven’t done since that special day. Celebrating our marriage each year through photographs is a way to show just how much we mean to each other.  I feel like anniversary portraits capture the love we share every day.  Although looking back at our wedding photographs is great for reminiscing, it’s not necessarily representative of who we are as couple today.
So with each anniversary that passes, we know that our marriage has grown and changed. I will capture our love that we share each year through anniversary photos.

I choose you for my life. I promise you my deepest, love, my fullest devotion, my tenderest care through the pressure of the present and the uncertainties of the future. I promise to be faithful to you, I promise to love you, to commit to you and support you. I pledge to respect your unique talents and abilities, to lend you strength for all your dreams. You have shown me what love feels like and for that I thank you. You are my earthly everything and everything I need today, tomorrow, and forever.
          Love always,
